On day one at Cardigan mountain, our group hiked two trails. The Welton falls trail and the Nature trail. First when we started hiking we stopped at an old cellar and sketched it. Than we walked down the trail and stopped to play a game. The goal of the game is to try and find the clothespin our AMC leaders hid. After we finished hiking the welton falls trail we hiked the natures trail. We learned alot about hemlocks and spruce trees. Finally after we were done hiking we had free time. We played games and after that we had dinner.

Regions

Regions were an important part to this day because of all the trees. For example there were a ton of hemlock trees at one place than there were more Beech trees. The trees were an important part to learn about regions. The last example is the rock, dirt, and gravel trails. We walked on dirt for the first half then it turned into gravel.
